A devoted church member, golfer, and family man, Jong Tae Kim was a soft-spoken soul who was committed to working hard, being kind, and enjoying an uncomplicated life with great satisfaction and simple joy.
He is preceded into the afterlife by his first wife Agatha Yung Sook Kim (DOD 1992) and is survived by his children Michael Kun Soo Kim and Julia Min Jung Kim, their spouses Dr. Charlene An and Dr. Jason Hoffman, and grandchildren Nicholas Kim, Amelia Hoffman, Isabelle Hoffman, and Alexander Hoffman. He is mourned by wife Monica Sin, her daughter Brandy Leon, her husband Ryan and extended grandchildren Bobby and Caleb.
An in state for Jong will be held Monday, April 24, 2023 at 9:30 AM at St. Andrew Kim Korean Catholic Church, 21177 Halsted Rd, Northville, MI 48167, followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 AM.
Jong will be laid to rest in Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, 25800 W Ten Mile Rd, Southfield, MI 48033.
