

Age 93, was embraced by his God on April 3, 2016. Joseph was born in Detroit, the son of John and Marie Bohrer. Joseph was a graduate of Detroit Catholic Central and after graduation enlisted in the US Army Air Corps and served as a radar navigator on B-17 bombers during WWII. He was an extra ordinary husband to Mary Jane (Corey) Bohrer who preceded him in 2009. Joseph was a loving father to Janet (Patrick) Scheetz, John (Clara) Bohrer, Mary Ann (Robert) Plagany, Matthew Bohrer, Patricia (David) Brand, Douglas (Peggy) Bohrer, and grandfather to Dominique, Jeffrey, Michael, Anna, Danielle, Kathleen, Daniel, and Christopher. Eight great grandchildren also brought him great joy. His qualities of humility, spirituality, and unselfishness will endure.
Visitation Wednesday, April 6 from 3-8pm, with a Rosary Service at 7pm, at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile in Livonia. Funeral Mass Thursday, April 7 at 10:30am (in state at 10am) at St. Kenneth Church, 14951 Haggerty Road in Plymouth.
