

Josephine Coppola née Persichetti was born on February 4, 1926 in Alvito, Italy. She was raised in Italy where she completed school and then met her husband Antonio. Antonio and Josephine raised two beloved children Adriana and Ugo. In 1958 they decided to moved the family to metro Detroit, first settling in Madison Heights.
A kind, loving woman, she would give anyone the shirt of her back, but wasn't afraid to let you know when she did not think you were being nice. She had a kind giving heart and was seldom without a smile. In addition to raising her family Josephine also worked as a seamstress for many years at St. Mary Mercy Hospital in Livonia.
Josephine passed away on October 26, 2015 in St. Clair Shores, Michigan with her family by her side. She was 89.
Josephine was the beloved wife of the late Antonio for 69 years. Loving mother of Adriana (Thomas Ellis) Liberatore and Ugo (Kathleen) Coppola. Cherished grandmother of 4 and great-grandmother of 8.
Her family will receive friends for visitation on Friday October 30, 2015 from 2-8 pm with a Vigil Service 7 pm at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Rd. (east of Newburgh and I-275) in Livonia. Her life will be celebrated with a Funeral Mass on Saturday October 31, 2015 at 10 am, with in state 9:30 am, at St. Colette Catholic Church, 17600 Newburgh Rd. (north of Six Mile Rd) in Livonia. Josephine will be laid to rest with Antonio at Glen Eden Memorial Park in Livonia.
