

Born in London, England on September 21, 1925. Josie worked for the BBC (British Broadcasting Company) and the American Embassy in London. She survived the bombings on London in World War II by hiding in the "underground" or "tubes" — aka Subways in the US. During the war she fell in love with the Americans and decided she wanted to live there. So in 1955, when she was 30 years old, she came to the United States all by herself and became a citizen. She lived in Battle Creek then moved to Detroit where she worked for General Motors. On October 10, 1959, she married Alfred William Orlando to whom she is still married to after death.
Josephine is survived by her beloved children Lisa, Craig, and Mark. She was predeceased by her husband Alfred and her siblings Doris Elizabeth (Joe) Street, Doug (Bett) Wilson, Eileen (John) Rainer, and John (Shirley) Wilson.
Visitation Thursday, January 14 from 4-8pm at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Road in Livonia. Funeral Service Friday, January 15 at 10am at the Funeral Home. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield.
