Julia Sirhan

Julia shared a loving marriage with her husband, Tewfic Sirhan.

A devoted mother, Julia dedicated her life to caring for her family. She had a welcoming spirit that made everyone who entered her home feel like family. Whether preparing a meal for loved ones, sharing stories around the table, or simply offering a kind word, Julia's greatest joy came from caring for family and others.

In her free time, Julia enjoyed working on her needlepoint, sewing and crocheting projects, tending to her vegetable garden, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A true homebody, she found comfort and happiness in the simple pleasures of home and family life.

Julia was a faithful member of St. Mary Orthodox Church for years, where her faith remained an important part of her life.

She is survived by her beloved children, Mona (John) Shamass, Samuel Sirhan, Raymon Sirhan, Richard Sirhan, Thomas (Rana) Sirhan, Mark Sirhan, and Ronnie (Nisreen) Sirhan; her cherished grandchildren, Jonathan (Lindsey) Shamass, Christopher (Veronica) Shamass, Ameera Sirhan, Tewfic Sirhan, Jacob Sirhan, Katherena Sirhan, and Christina Sirhan; her treasured great-grandchildren, Olivia Shamass, Lauren Shamass, Matthew Shamass, and Lilian Shamass; and her brothers, Farhan Kakish and Kamal Kakish.

Julia lived a long and beautiful life filled with faith, family, and countless cherished memories. Her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for her family will remain a lasting legacy and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Funeral Mass will take place at 10:30 am on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at St. Mary Orthodox Church, 18200 Merriman Rd, Livonia, MI 48152. Julia’s family will welcome visitors at church for viewing on Tuesday from 9:30 am until the time of the Mass at 10:30 am.
