June Welty, 96, of Livonia, left this world to be with the Lord on 4-6-23 at Woodhaven Retirement Community. June was born in Galatia, IL to Sadie and Lon Hill and after graduating high school moved with her parents to Detroit where she worked various jobs including General Motors and the Fort Wayne Army Base. She met her future husband, Joe, after he was discharged from the Air Force. They were married in June 1946 and were married for 69 years.
Surviving is her son Stephen (Karen), daughter Katherine, daughter-in-law Carol, grandchildren Aaron (Sheila) and Scott (Kelly) and great grandchild Bryson. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph, sons Ronnie, Richard and James and daughter Pamela.
