Justin Albert Dattilio went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 1, 2026. He was born on April 15, 1982, at Providence Hospital in Southfield, Michigan, to Anthony and Rhonda Dattilio of Livonia, Michigan.
He loved Sarah, his wife of eighteen years, with a devotion that was evident to everyone. He loved and was incredibly proud of his children: Drake, Dylan, Dax, Delila, and Devin. Justin worked two jobs, as a Logistics Supervisor for Ryder Trucking and through his own landscaping company, so that Sarah could be home with the kids. He didn't want Sarah to put the kids to bed before he got home from work, so he could be there.
Justin loved Jesus. He loved discussing the Scriptures and sometimes even arguing about them. He could steer almost any conversation toward the things of God, and even when he wanted to debate, his warmth and his great laugh made people want to talk with him. His trust in Christ was the most important thing in his life. He knew (and knows in waking sight now) the incredible love and grace of God that saves sinners through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, the Son of God.
Justin had a great sense of humor and an even better laugh, and he was always ready with a joke. He had a boyish enthusiasm that was contagious. He liked to go fast in cars and even faster on motorcycles. In high school, he won the High School National at Milan Dragway in his IROC, and that love of speed never left him.
Justin loved his country and regularly reminded the people around him to be grateful for the freedoms Americans enjoy. He loved shooting firearms with his Dad and brother Tony, and he loved fishing and camping.
He loved his Mom and Dad deeply, and he loved his big brother Tony, Tony's wife Jenny, and their children, because he understood that his family is one of God's precious gifts.
There are no words to express the depth of our sadness at his loss. But like Justin, we trust in Christ, and though we grieve, we grieve with hope. We know that because Jesus lives, Justin lives as well. We will see him again. “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live.” (John 11:25)
Justin is survived by his beloved wife, Sarah, and their five children: Drake (15), Dylan (13), Dax (11), Delila (10), and Devin (3). He is also survived by his parents, Tony and Rhonda Dattilio; his brother, Tony, and sister-in-law, Jenny (Belsley) Dattilio; and his nephews and niece, Carter, Micah, Evelyn, and Calvin.
