It has almost been a year since you left us here to go be with the Lord. I was just watching the video & reading through the messages again.  You touched so many people in different ways. I am one of the lucky ones to have called you mom.  I have felt you in so many different ways watching over all of us this past year. Our precious BEST FRIEND, KAREN!  You are going to be missed more than words can express.  From the first moment we met you, 48 years ago, we knew our friendship would last FOREVER.  We have shared so many special moments together.  Lee stood up in your wedding & Jim stood up in our wedding.  We were so excited when we were expecting our babies at the same time. We would talk on the phone for hours when our husbands worked the afternoon shift.  I treasure our Hudson shopping trips to buy new outfits for our children. We would always stop to have lunch at Hudson's restaurant and order a Maurice Salad for each of us and a hot dog lunch-in-a-bag for Chris & Kim.  We shared wonderful family celebrations & parties together.  We will always treasure your loyal, loving friendship, Karen.  Rest in peace, our precious friend.  We will LOVE YOU & MISS YOU FOREVER.

I am so sorry to hear of Karen's death. May you feel the comfort of God's arms wrapped around you during these difficult times ahead without her by your side. I enjoyed seeing the photos of the joy she brought to others in her life.

As cousins; Karen & I were not close; partly due to the age difference & partly because well....she was just so genuinely sweet! She always enjoyed a good laugh (but not at anyone's expense)& she preferred to be optimistic. I do remember her first job; she was so excited & her eyes just shined when she talked about it & where it might lead. Those are some of the memories I'll always have of Karen Lea.

Thinking of you with during this difficult time.  May the love of those around you, help you through the days ahead. Words cannot heal the pain of losing someone so dear. May God give you the strength to remember only her loving ways. Jim, thinking of you and your family, wishing you hope in the midst of sorrow, comfort in the midst of pain.

As all kids do in grade school, we dated as boy friend and girl friend on and off. We hadn't seen each other in years. I hope you had all that you wanted and more. Memories are what remains.

Karen was a very special person.  We all will miss her.  To Karen's immediate family my deepest sympathy.  My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of great sorrow.

Karen, Your smile, laugh and the fun times we shared will be my cherished memories.  You were a good friend, a true friend and I will miss you.  May your family find comfort in God's love and strength as they go through this difficult time.

Dear Karen was one of my first friends to greet me as a Christian when I joined the Choir at Kenwood. She loved to sing praises to our Lord and Savior!  Karen invited me to a DanceFit class before her knee problems.  We use to have a good workout together!  I'm glad Karen is dancing with the Lord now with no knee problem!...you will be missed.

Karen, you will forever be in my heart dear friend. We go back many years and shared so many times, especially when it came to our children growing up. I always wanted to be more like you. We enjoyed singing at Kenwood together especially the duets we sang. We sang 'Precious Memories' and 'Mansion just over the Hilltop', And I know that is where you are now, in your mansion in heaven.
