Karolyn "Betty" Pierrard

Karolyn "Betty" Pierrard, age 89, of Livonia, Michigan passed away on Friday, May 24, 2024. Betty was born in Phillips, WI on December 4th, 1934, the daughter of Arthur and Ruth Johnson. She married Kenneth Pierrard on November 19, 1955 in Milwaukee, WI. Betty was a Madonna University graduate and employed as the Activities Director at the Westland Convalescent Center for 35 years. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. There was nothing that she enjoyed more than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Betty loved traveling to Wisconsin and Northern Michigan. She was an avid reader and gardener.

Betty is survived by her 4 children; Michelle (Robert) Magill, Michael (Kari) Pierrard, David (Mary) Pierrard, and Eric (Jill) Pierrard; 12 grandchildren; Jason (Christina) Magill, Katherine (Derrick) Babcock, Joshua (Kelli) Magill, Mary (Justin) McLaughlin, Rebekah (Eric) Bergin, Spencer, Conner & Madison Pierrard, Alexa, Elizabeth, Michael & Jacob Pierrard; 15 great grandchildren; Jeremy, Ethan, Molly, Dominic, Rhett, Emery, Nathan, Leihliana, Jude, Jaxon, Joseph, Jordyn, Emmalinn, Graylin, and Kenleigh; Betty is also survived by 2 of her siblings Charles (Virginia) Johnson and Ruth (Robert) Koster and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Kenneth Pierrard, her parents Arthur and Ruth Johnson; and 7 siblings Jean Spencer, Donald Johnson, Dorothy Fischer, Raymond Johnson, June French, and John Johnson.

Betty's life will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church 30650 Six Mile Road, Livonia, MI 48152.

Visitation at the church will begin at 9:00 AM
