

Katherine Culley passed away peacefully at home on April 30, 2022. She was born on November 26, 1930 to parents Helen and Michael Kepreos. She was preceded in death by her husband George after they celebrated 68 years of marriage and also by her brother Nick Kepreos and her sister-in-law Kay Kepreos. She is remembered lovingly by son Michael, daughter Helene Garber (Doug) and daughter Diane Walters (Mark). She is also survived by five grandchildren, Philip Garber (Jessica), Daniel Garber (Lisa), Evan Garber (Sabrina), Catherine Garber, Elisabeth Walters and two great grandchildren, Giuliana and Gianluca.
Along with raising three children Katherine worked as an administrative assistant and bookkeeper. She spent her last twenty years of employment working for Seaway Painting in Livonia.
Katherine enjoyed creative activities. Taking after her father, Katherine was an avid gardener and enjoyed gardening with both annual and perennial flowers. She also learned cake decorating, sewing, knitting and crocheting. She loved to travel with her husband George. Together they enjoyed many vacations to Europe and Mexico as well as multiple cruises. They spent many winters vacationing in Clearwater Beach, Florida where they made many new friends.
Katherine and her husband Geroge were longtime members of the Elks Club in Livonia where Katherine supported the womens’ group, The Fawns. She was also a devout member of Holy Cross Greek Orthodox church where she gave of her time and talents. Katherine supported the Holy Cross Ladies Auxiliary and later the Holy Cross Philoptochos. She served many positions on the Philoptochos board and as President from 1985-1986.
In addition to offering her talents to the church, Katherine embodied the Greek Orthodox religion through her stead-fast faith in God’s plan for her life. She was loved by many and will be missed by all. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church (25225 Middlebelt Road, Farmington Hills, MI 48336) or the International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 from 4PM-8PM with a Trisagion prayer service at 7PM at Harry J. Will Funeral Home: 37000 Six Mile Rd., Livonia, Michigan 48152.
