Kathleen Barry was born in Detroit, Michigan November 28, 1924 to James and Charlotte Barry. She worked many years as an Educator at Detroit Public Schools.
She was predeceased by her parents as well as her siblings Sr. Helene, IHM, James, Charlotte and Irene. She was also predeceased by her niece Judy and nephew Jeff. She is survived by her nieces and nephews Kathleen (Mike) Bruno, John (Debbie) Barry and Janet (Dennis) Agresta. She is also survived by her great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday June 13, 2012 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Road in Livonia. A rosary will be prayed in her honor at 7:00 pm by Deacon Gary Pardo. The funeral home is located on the north side of W. Six Mile Rd., east of I-275 and Newburgh Road.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday June 14, 2012 at St. Colette Catholic Church, 17600 Newburgh Rd. in Livonia. Kathleen will lie in state at the church from 9:30 am until the time of Mass celebrated by Fr. Gary Michalik at 10:00 am. The church is located on the east side of Newburgh Rd., just north of W. Six Mile Rd.
She will be laid to rest at Mt. Elliott Cemetery in Detroit with her family.
