

Kenneth E. Schell, age 93, of Plymouth, Michigan passed away on Friday, September 13, 2024. Devoted father of Denise (late John) Maynard, Ken (Cheryl) Schell, and Jeanine (John) Patla. Loving grandfather of Jessica (Bruce) Miller, Matthew Mieszczak, Jerod (Laine) Schell, Amanda (Jon) Wells, and Lauren (Jordan) Burger. Proud great-grandfather of Brady, Audra, Jane, Austin, Damian, Josie, Olivia, and Evan. He will also be deeply missed by dear companion of 15 years, Patricia Boomer.
Kenneth was preceded in passing by his beloved wife of 56 years, Carol. He was also preceded by his brother Lee Schell.
Kenneth proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Upon his return home, he began work at MichCon for the length of his career. He was an avid bowler, softball, poker, and billiards player. He had numerous trophies and awards for his participation in sports as well as for the Wayne County Senior Olympics. He enjoyed singing, playing his ukulele, and telling "dad" jokes.
Most importantly, Kenneth was a family man and he will be proud to have his legacy carried on and will be deeply missed.

A visitation will be held Thursday, September 19, from 1:00pm-4:00pm and 5:30-8:00pm at Harry J Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Rd, Livonia, MI 48152. An in state will be held at the funeral home the following day, Friday, September 20, from 9:00am-9:30am with the funeral service beginning at 9:30am. The final resting place for Kenneth and Carol will be Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI 48442. The committal and military honors will be held Friday at 2:30pm.
