Kenneth N. Hunter, 85 a 30+ year resident of Livonia, passed away April 2, 2019. He was born on April 25, 1933 in Detroit to Lawrence & Minnie Hunter. After graduation from Lincoln High School in Ferndale, he entered the U.S. Army. Following his Army service Ken returned home and was trained as an apprentice Die Maker. Later he joined Ford Motor Company where he was a Production Engineer for over 30 years. He met and married Lillian J. Miller, the love of his life. They enjoyed 56 wonderful years together raising their three children. Outside of work he enjoyed family vacations, coaching basketball & baseball, golf, fishing and attending the sporting events of his grandchildren. Most recently he was a passionate fan of Junior hockey enjoying watching his grandson play.
Ken is survived by his children, Sue (Brian) Bogenschutz, Kevin (Adrienne) Hunter, and Craig (Maureen) Hunter; grandsons, Adam (Amy) Bogenschutz, Kyle Bogenschutz, Troy Bogenschutz, Chad Hunter, Scott Hunter, Nicholas Hunter and Drew Hunter; great-grandchildren, Derek & Hailey Bogenschutz. Mr. Hunter was pre-deceased by his parents, older brother, Wesley and wife, Lillian.
Friends may visit Monday, April 8, 2019 from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152. A service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Entombment will be private at Glen Eden Cemetery.
