Lari graduated from Walled Lake Western High School and went on to receive his Bachelor’s Degree and his Masters in Audiology from Central Michigan University. He later worked very hard to earn his Doctorate in Audiology, while working full time and raising a family. We were all very proud when he was appointed by the Governor to the Michigan Board of Audiology.Lari was proud to work for many years at Earphonics Inc. as a Doctor of Audiology.
He was involved in many activities at St. Pauls Presbyterian Church – youth advisor, camp counselor, and elder. Lari enjoyed (obsessed about!) working out, weight lifting, running – any exercise at all! He loved craft beer, hot dogs, fine clothing and a good scotch. He was an avid Jets, CMU and GVSU football fan – but most of all he was a fan of his daughters passions – theatre and cheerleading. Lari was a devoted friend, son, brother, uncle, father to his daughters and husband of 33 years to Cindy.
Lari was the loving husband of Cindy for 33 1/2 years. The cherished father of Jessica Lee and Emily Ann. Dear brother of Robert (Susan). Beloved brother-in-law of Debbie (Scott) Fosgard and Susie (Matt) Jurczyszyn. Dearest son-in-law of Pat and Doug Smith. He also leaves behind his devoted cat Baxter, who never left his side.
Lari's family will receive friends for a Memorial Gathering on Wednesday December 17, 2014 from 3-8 pm at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Rd. (east of Newburgh and I-275) in Livonia.
His life will be celebrated with a Memorial Service on Thursday December 18, 2014 at 6:30 pm at Mt. Hope Congregational Church, 30330 Schoolcraft Rd. (west I-96 service drive, west of Middlebelt Rd.) in Livonia.
