Laura Viola Dwyer

Lauradine (Laura) Viola Dwyer, age 84, of Northville has entered her eternal resting on August 4, 2023. Laura was born on August 10, 1938, in Detroit, Michigan. She was the daughter of the late Bernadine Lydia (Neuman) and Joseph Jacob Forte.

Laura’s life was an inspiration to many. She loved life and always considered both blessings and challenges as opportunities to live in the fullest way possible. She was devoted to her faith, her family, her studies, and her hobbies. Laura’ s hometown was Allen Park, Michigan. Laura graduated Allen Park High School in the class of 1956 as salutatorian. After high school, Laura entered the work force, bought her first home, married, and joined motherhood. Later in life, Laura successfully accomplished her master’s degree in business administration. Laura had ambition and utilized her many skills to advance her career, her home, and her family.

Laura is survived by her son David Dwyer and daughter Kristyn Dwyer Pillitteri, her stepchildren: Michael, Douglas, Kevin, Richard, and Gregory Dwyer. Also is survived by her grandchildren; Roxanne and Suzanne Irvin, and Bryson and Emilyn Pillitteri, Step grandchildren: Kelly, Andrea, Melissa, Stacey, Brian, Kaitlyn, Rachel, Kevin, and Christopher Dwyer, and 10 great grandchildren. Her surviving siblings are Dominick, Robert, and Suzanne.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Patrick Dwyer, and eldest son William (Billy) Irvin.

A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, from 4:00-8:00 PM at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152. A funeral in state will occur Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 39020 Five Mile Rd, Livonia MI 48154. The procession will then be to Glen Eden Memorial Park, 35667 W. Eight Mile Rd, Livonia, MI 48152.
