She was born on July 9, 1951, in Huntingburg, Indiana, to John and Martha Leighty.
Linda is survived by her sons, Eric (Danielle) Alexander and Matthew (Sarah) Alexander; her beloved grandchildren, Olivia, Emma, Ava, Helen, and Benjamin; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives she touched throughout the years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Martha Leighty; her sisters, Betty Tredway and Rose Matteson; her husband, Ralph Edward Alexander; and her daughter, Amy Lynn Alexander.
Linda loved celebrating life’s special moments, especially the holidays. She delighted in decorating her home with cherished collections, handmade crafts, and beautifully painted ceramics of her own creation.
She enjoyed playing games of all kinds. She spent countless hours playing online games and looked forward to gathering around the table with family and friends for games of Skip-Bo and Phase 10. She also enjoyed many years of playing Bunco with friends.
For many years, Linda dedicated her time to volunteering and advocating against impaired driving, a cause that was deeply important to her.
Linda was a thoughtful and generous gift giver who found great joy in making others feel loved and remembered. She treasured time spent with family and friends, and once someone became one of her people, they remained in her heart forever.
Above all else, Linda’s greatest joy was her family. She fiercely loved her children and grandchildren and was a constant source of encouragement, support, laughter, and unconditional love. Her kindness, warmth, and unwavering devotion to those she loved will be remembered always and missed beyond measure.
