It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Linda Lee Brannon, 83 of Brighton, Michigan. She passed away on Sunday, January 4th. Born on July 21, 1942, in Paducah, Kentucky. Linda was the daughter of the late James Gilbert and Hattie (Andrus) Gilbert.
Linda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt, who treasured time spent with her family. She was especially proud of her daughter and granddaughters and spoke of them often. Linda was a wonderful cook and a gracious host who made everyone feel welcome. She was easygoing and warm, with a love for growing orchids. Linda laughed easily and always seemed to find the humor in things. She was an animal lover and treasured the companionship of her cat and dog. In her later years, she especially enjoyed teaching others how to play Mahjong, something she took great pride in.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Henry Brannon and her only brother, whom she cherished, James Kenneth Gilbert and his wife Brenda Gilbert.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Steve) Johnson of Brighton, Michigan; her cherished granddaughters Emma Johnson and Allison (Adam) Rolain and her loving nieces and nephews and many extended family members and friends. Her love will be felt long after her passing.
