

Linda spent the first few years of her life in Pennsylvania, then moved to Michigan with her family. She graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor’s of Education. After graduation, she taught in Southgate, Michigan for several years and briefly at Groves High School.
She married her husband Frederick Goddard on February 6, 1965 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in Detroit, Michigan. After teaching, she became a full-time mother and enjoyed tennis, swimming and playing Bridge.
Linda will be remembered as a positive, energetic woman who was full of life, warmth and love.
Linda has been the loving wife of Frederick Goddard for 47 years and the beloved mother of David (Kari) Goddard and Jeanne (Thyagi) Shankar. She is also survived by her sister Barbara Leon and is the aunt to Robert (Joanne) and Beth Leon.
Friends may visit Linda’s family during a visitation in her honor on Sunday September 9, 2012 from 1 pm until her Rosary service at 7 pm at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 W. Six Mile, Livonia, Michigan 48152. The funeral home is located on the north side of W. Six Mile, east of I-275 and Newburgh Road.
Linda will lie in state Monday September 10, 2012 from 9:30 am until her Funeral Mass at 10 am at St. Colette Catholic Church, 17600 Newburgh, Livonia, Michigan 48152. The church is located on the east side of Newburgh Road, just north of W. Six Mile.
Linda will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery in Southfield, Michigan, located at the intersection of Beech and W. Ten Mile Roads.
