Preceding her in death were her parents and brother Thomas (Tom) Shaw.
At the age of 17 years, on April 6th, 1958, Linda committed her life to the Lord, was converted and baptized, and became a member of the Apostolic Christian Church. Linda often expressed her devotion and gratitude, first for her Lord and Savior, but also for the loving Fellowship she enjoyed for many years with her church family.
Linda Held a secretarial position at the Ford Motor Company for many years. She chose an early retirement, so as to enjoy her other areas of interest.
Her special interests included traveling with friends, sewing, and baking. She also loved watching and rooting for the Detroit Redwings! Her absolute favorite color was yellow!
She became an expert in cake decorating and took pride in her beautiful and luscious cakes! At Christmas time, she made hundreds of cookies, and would take them to the elderly residents of Woodhaven.
After experiencing for herself, the difficulties associated with cancer and chemotherapy, Linda wanted to comfort others who were going through the same experience. She sewed close to a hundred yellow teddy bears, which were given to women who had to have their heads shaved. Each teddy bear was to be used by the recipient for “healing hugs,” and was adorned with a personal note from Linda…its message offering encouragement and hope!
Memories of Linda will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
