MOM (MA) WAS MY BEST FRIEND WHEN NEEDED AND ALWAYS SUPPORTIVE OF MY DECISIONS AND CHOICES THROUGHOUT MY 65 YEARS. SHE ALSO WOULD NOT HESITATE TO LET ME KNOW WHEN SHE THOUGHT I WAS WRONG :).I LOVE HER AND MISS HER TERRIBLY.MY ONLY CONSOLATION IS THAT SHE IS NO LONGER IN THE PAIN THAT SHE SUFFERED THROUGH THE LAST SEVERAL YEARS.REST IN PEACE MA .

Whether you called me JT or TJ, it was nice to see your smile every time I entered the room. From the numerous visits to just socialize about life; playing cards; watching game shows and even tending to your plants- It was a true blessing in disguise. You embraced me nicely into your outstanding family during a time that was needed in my life. I will never forget our time together and will cherish the memories forever- Rest in peace!

There isn't a day that goes by that I don't miss you and think of you.  There are so many great memories...Sunday visits at the kitchen table talking, drinking tea and eating windmill cookies and pink mints, singing hymnals and playing the organ with you, you buying my first pair of Jordache Jeans at Crowleys, all the many shopping trips... and your charm with the sales associates, you drinking shots in an unusually shaped glass at my bachelorette party, lunches and special talks at Rams Horn when the boys were little, your visit to NY...and so many more. You were such a fun-loving Grandma!
You were a sassy,spunky, smart, and beautiful lady with great legs (even at 90+).  You made me and everyone around you feel special and likewise I have a special place for you in my heart.  I'll see you again some day...until then your stories and memories will be shared and cherished.

Grandma,

We may have not been related by blood but it truly felt like it. I really do miss laughing with you, playing cards with you, and sharing wisdom with you. It is tough for me to talk about someone that was really close to me that has passed let alone write about them. It is a weakness I have within me but I know what grandma would have said to me if I was feeling down, OH STOP I'm fine honey! Don't you worry about me but seriously go get your elbow checked out that is not normal! I may have not known her for as long as most of her awesome family but that didn't matter she treated me like her very own grandchild. She was very kind, loving, caring, and thoughtful much like her whole family; she really raised her children right even if it was hard at times... that alone should be commended.

Grandma we will miss you more than anything. But the memories will always remain. 

Our vacations to the States, we couldn't wait to see our grandma. I will never forget your worries when I travelled alone for the first time ('Grandma, I'm already 14 years old!').

Your visits to The Netherlands were very special. You instantly came over when I had my accident for support. And for our wedding, very special!

My Dear Aunt Lois you were like another Mother to me - I cannot express how much I will miss you and love you.  I will always cherish all the wonderful memories of you from childhood to adulthood.  The great trips we took, the plays we went to see, the casino runs and bingo.  You will always hold a special place in my heart - take care of my Kimmy up there I love you.

Grandma Peanut,
I recently was strolling through my facebook and a "memory" popped up on my wall that said "going to play cards with grandma tonight, cant wait!". Spending those Thursday nights each week with you are some of my most fond memories. I really feel that in the last few years by spending one, if not more, night(s) a week with you allowed us to share some of the best talks, memories, laughs, and even tears. We have always had a great relationship, but I only feel having that opportunity at the age I am really brought out a stronger relationship between us. Its hard to type this and the tears are trickling down my face, but i know you are where you want to be and I am glad that you are resting in peace. Thank you for giving me the chance to spend my 24 years of existence with one of the coolest grandmas ever! 
Love you so so so much pretty lady and there is never a goodbye, only a see you later.

Dear Mom,

I love you and will miss you more than words can express.  I will miss our talks on the phone where you often shared your words of wisdom.  You taught me common sense and told me not to sweat the small stuff. I appreciate all of your quips such as "cross that bridge when you get to it" or "count your blessings". You never held back your words when you thought something was wrong. You spoke the truth, and let me know when you did not agree with some behavior even as I became an  adult. Thanks for being the parent that loved  her family unconditionally, and modeled what it meant to be a loving wife with commitment in a marriage.  Thanks for allowing me to build self esteem by really working on my own accomplishments. Thanks for teaching me to have a  good work ethic. Thanks for teaching me that education is important and to respect your teachers. Thanks for teaching me about God and making sure that I went to Sunday School each week. Thanks for teaching me the importance of family. You made your grandchildren feel important when they were with you. You are the cement that kept us all together. 
I will miss you, but you will always be with me in my thoughts and in my heart.

Great to have had you as part of our lives and always looked forward to seeing you again every visit grandma, ever since we were born. Loved your advice and look on life and the great family you made with grandpa of which I am proud to be part of.  Lots of love in forever in our memory, Sebina, Emily, Dale and Theo.

You were such a beautiful, smart, funny and strong woman. Playing cards with you every week and hearing your stories are memories I will hold close to my heart forever. I will miss you everyday, but at least now I have the best guardian angel watching over me.

Grandma, you were so dearly loved by everyone who had the chance to make your acquaintance. Your soft caring voice, your warm hugs, your great knowledge in history and family. You did things right and you obeyed our Lord and Savior. I will look forward to the time when we meet again in Heaven.

No words can express the sorrow one feels with the loss of a parent...especially a mother.  My mother was a wonderful, smart, caring, funny and outgoing person.  She was a very loving mother to all of her children.  She was the go-to person for any update on friends and family.  She knew it all.  If you wanted something to get around you would contact Lois.  She will truly be missed by all.  Rest in peace mom, we know you're in a better place.

To the family, You all have our heartfelt sympathy and condolences. We wish we could have been there. My wife lost her Aunt just a couple of days after Lois passed. We were expecting this.  God Bless everyone of you. All our love, Clifford & Brenda Carter.
