Born in Imlay City, Michigan, to Simon and Anna (Szatrak) Maslanik, Loretta was raised in a loving and hardworking family. She later attended Mackenzie High School in Detroit.
On April 21, 1951, Loretta married John McKeegan, in Detroit. Together they built a home filled with laughter, and love, raising three children. A devoted homemaker, Loretta took great pride in caring for her family and nurturing the bonds that kept them close. John preceded her in death, but their love remained a guiding light in her life.
Loretta's legacy lives on through her three children: Colleen, Nancy, and John (Valerie). Cherished grandchildren: Christine (Joe), Ashley, Joseph (Krystin), and Jonathan, as well as her great-grandson, JJ. She is also survived by her dear brother Bernie, sister-in-law Ann, and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Loretta was preceded in death by her siblings: Ted, Rudy, Harold, Stanley, Fred, Lillian, and four siblings who died in infancy.
Loretta will be remembered for her deep love of family, her generous spirit, and her enduring strength.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Loretta's honor to the Plymouth Goodfellows, an organization dear to her heart.
May she rest in peace, reunited with those she loved and missed.
