Margaret A. "Peggy" Pattwell, 89, of Detroit, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020. Margaret was born on January 2, 1931, the youngest of four children born to John and Cecelia (nee Durack) Pattwell. Margaret graduated from St. Francis de Sales High School. She spent her career as an Administrative Assistant at General Motors for over 30 years. Margaret loved to dance, and after retirement she spent over 20 years volunteering at the International Institute in Detroit. Margaret liked to spend vacations traveling. One of her most memorable trips was taking her sister Mary to Ireland.
Margaret is survived by her niece and nephews, Maureen (Greg) Burry, John (Sheila) O'Meara, and William (Mary) O'Meara, Michael (Beth) Pattwell, Paul (Kim) Pattwell, and Jack Pattwell. Many great-nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was pre-deceased by older siblings, Mary Pattwell, Kathleen (John) O'Meara and John (Therese) Pattwell.
A private committal service will be held on Monday, December 14, 2020 at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery where Margaret will be laid to rest next to her sister, Mary.
