Peggy had a kind spirit that lit up every room she entered. Always smiling, always grateful, she carried a deep appreciation for life and the people around her. She had a heart full of love and a soul that was both gentle and joyful. Peggy treasured time with her family and friends and touched countless lives with her generous and uplifting nature.
A passionate animal lover, especially dogs, Peggy was also an avid reader who loved getting lost in a good book. She enjoyed swimming laps at the pool, creating latch hook rugs as a form of art and expression, and relished the thrill of a roller coaster ride. She embraced life with a childlike wonder and creative spirit that never dimmed.
To cherish her memory, Peggy leaves behind five beloved siblings: Theresa (Dale) Stankewicz, Mary Kay Bailey, Patricia (Ted) Rize, Timothy (Denise) Bailey, and Beth (Mark) Durell. She was a loving and devoted aunt to 13 nieces and nephews: Michael, Patrick, Katie, Ian, Shane, Erin, Eric, Tim, Cody, Ashley, Sean, Patty, and Megan, who were like her own children. She also leaves behind many great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.
Peggy is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Tom Bailey.
Peggy will be remembered for her kindness, her laughter, her creativity, and the unconditional love she gave so freely. She was truly one of a kind.
Memorial contributions in Peggy’s honor may be made to the Community Opportunity Center in Livonia, Michigan.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
