Remembering Dolores today♥️May she rest in Peace🙏Amen

Dolores was my good friend in high school, we even shared a locker together in Senior Year...........not only a high school friend but a family friend as my Father and Dolores' Mother grew up in the same village in Malta......(small world..as they say);  When Dolores married Manuel Vella I was one of her bridesmaids....not knowing later on she would be my sister n' law.
Dolores was a smart, kind, classy and gentle soul; She always put others first, especially children; never was there a child that she taught or knew (or did'nt know) that went without food, drink  or clothing thanks to Dolores; those children knew and felt the love and care that she showed them.
Dolores  I will miss you as so will so  many others.

I will miss my one and only  loving sister and friend. She was always there for me when I needed her, whether it was a phone call or txt ... I could always count on her. ........Love, your brother Robert.

Been including Dolores in my nightly prayers for many months since finding out about her illness. My deepest condolences to you Emmanual and your entire family. Dolores was a truly caring person. In life she taught those less fortunate and in her faith nobody was more devoted. God Bless Her Always as I know He will.

Our deepest sympathy to her husband Emanuel her three sons Jason, Nick and John and their family may God give you courage and strength to carry on.  You are all in our heart's thoughts and prayers love you all,  Sally , John and all our family.

Dolores was a lovely woman inside and out.  We enjoyed a lot of visits to Detroit and she always welcomed us to her home and enjoyed alot of shopping trips with her.   We are very very sad at your loss but we will always remember our visits and the good times we had especially our trip to Sicily and our cooking lesson. Fly high with the angels  dear Dolores rest in peace.  Sally, John and all our family in Malta

Marie was an exceptional teacher and wonderful co-worker and friend. As her students aged out of her class, some were placed in my CI middle school room. She made my job much easier because her kids always had a solid foundation and wealth of skills to work from. She was truly dedicated and loved her work. It was a privilege and honor to be her colleague.

When I was going on a trip to Washington, D.C. with 2 of our girls, Marie purchased clothes and carry-on bags for them. Her generosity was part of who she was.

We went to a few Red Wings games together. We were so tickled at one game when we noticed somebody was taking pictures with a 'Flat Stanley'. Every elementary teacher knows Flat Stanley and we laughed that whereever we were, we were always teachers --even at a hockey game.

I got the best piece of marriage advice from Marie. She told me she made up a lesson plan to teach her husband how to clean the bathroom. At the time he was averaging about a "B". I've got a handful of lesson plans for my husband. Unfortunately he rarely gets above a C+ on any one task.

Marie is gone too soon. But I'm glad she saw her sons grow into the fantastic young men they are. She got to be a mother-in-law and grandma, even for a short time. May she rest in peace knowing the good works she did here is done.

Sympathies to her family and friends, especially having a loss at this time of year. But really, there's no good time, just good times to remember.
