Mary E. Anderson

Mary Elizabeth Anderson was born on July 11, 1921 in Murray, Kentucky to the late Washington and Flossie Jones. She passed away on January 11, 2013 in New Hudson, Michigan with her family by her side.

Mary was a faithful Christian and member of the Livonia Church of Christ for over 30 years.

In her youth she performed with her sister Nellie as a country singer. Together they recorded a 75 record which included songs "Echoes from the Hills" and Tumbling Tumbleweeds". One of Mary's highlights was performing at the Grand Ole Oprey in Nashville. She was a true musical talent playing the acoustic guitar and omnichord.

Mary kept her passion for music her whole life. While at Fox Run in Novi, where she resided for 4 years, she enjoyed her time there performing in the choir and competing in the talent shows.

Mary was the loving wife of the late Norman. Cherished mother of Rhonda (Tom) Baiocchi, Gail (Gary) Burke and Susan (Robert) Stanton. Dear grandmother of Michael, Julie, Elizabeth, Kaitlin, Jessica, Neil and Kent and great grandmother of 4. Dearest sister of T.R. Jones.

Mary's family will receive friends on Sunday January 13, 2013 from 1-6 pm and Monday January 14, 2013 from 10 am until time of service, 11 am at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Rd. (east of Newburgh and I-275) in Livonia.

She will be laid to rest at Glen Eden Memorial Park in Livonia.
