Mary was the beloved wife of John Greco, whom she married in 1977. Together, they shared a wonderful life filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. She was the loving mother of Dana Greco (Eleazar), Andrea Greco (Sean), and Whitney Wickham (Eric), and the proud and devoted grandmother of Gianna, Gabriel, and Emilia, who brought her endless joy.
Mary was the dear sister of Kathleen (the late Ray), Dino, Mike, Elizabeth (the late Ray), Patricia (Andrew), Jacqueline (Mario), and the late Richard. She was a beloved aunt to 11 nieces and nephews, a great-aunt to 9, and treasured by her many cousins and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Maria Greco, and her parents-in-law, Anna and Bernardo Greco.
A graduate of Fordson High School in Dearborn, Class of 1973, Mary went on to build a life centered around hard work, family, and the people she loved. She worked alongside her husband, John, as a bookkeeper for 24 years and also spent time in food preparation at Joe's Produce.
If there was one thing everyone knew about Mary, it was that there was never a party unless she was around! She was truly the life of the party, someone who could fill a room with laughter and make everyone feel welcome. Mary loved hosting, cooking, and bringing people together around the table. As a proud Italian, she knew how to prepare all the traditional favorites, but one of her greatest specialties was pizza, a skill she learned from her father. Whether it was a birthday, holiday, or just another reason to get together, Mary always found a way to make the occasion special. She had a gift for making everyone feel loved and remembered, and she was always ready for a good time.
Her love for family knew no bounds. Mary adored her children and grandchildren and treated her nieces and nephews as if they were her own. She treasured time spent with her family, loved caring for her beloved dog, and enjoyed tending to her koi pond. Earlier in life, she also enjoyed martial arts, a reflection of her spirited and adventurous personality.
Mary was truly a spectacular person. She was generous with her love, full of life, and always ready to make someone smile. Her home was a place of warmth, her table was always open, and there was always room for one more. She made birthdays brighter, holidays more memorable, and ordinary days feel like celebrations. Her presence was a gift to everyone fortunate enough to know her, and the love she shared will continue to live on through the many lives she touched.
Mary will be deeply missed by her beloved husband, children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, extended family, and countless friends. Though she may no longer be with us, the laughter, traditions, delicious meals, and beautiful memories she leaves behind will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
