Mary Lou Skronek, age 81, from Sterling Heights, Michigan, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2026. She was born in Northville, Michigan, to Walter and Marguerite Gehringer. Mary Lou met David Skronek at Faith Lutheran Church’s youth group, and they were married for 61 years. They had two children, Carrie (Mark) and Keith (Reshma), and two granddaughters, Sarah (Nate) and Megan.
A funeral will be held on Thursday, November 5, at Meadowbrook Congregational Church, 21355 Meadowbrook Road, Novi, Michigan 48375. Visitation with the family begins at 11:00 a.m., followed by a service beginning at 12:00 p.m. A light reception at the church will follow. Interment will take place at 2:30 p.m. at Glen Eden Cemetery in Livonia.
