MaryAnn was a lifelong learner and dedicated educator. She earned her master’s degree and spent many years as a public school teacher, serving students at various schools across the United States.
A woman of remarkable strength and resilience, MaryAnn bravely faced and overcame breast cancer in 2021.
Outside of her career, MaryAnn found joy in reading, animals, and travel. She was an avid reader and a devoted animal lover. Her curiosity about the world took her far and wide; she traveled extensively throughout Europe, embarked on a solo adventure to Alaska. Her final trip was especially meaningful, a visit to Turkey shared with her son, Kevin.
To cherish her memory, MaryAnn leaves behind her sister, Marcia (Ron) Elam, and her niece and nephew, Elizabeth and Nicholas.
In addition to her parents Victor and Genevieve Bubrowski, MaryAnn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William, and her sons, Christopher and Kevin.
MaryAnn will be remembered for her strength, intelligence, compassion, and adventurous heart. She leaves behind a legacy of dedication, courage, and love for learning that will continue to inspire those who knew her.
A Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of Loretto, located at 17116 Olympia, Michigan, MI, 48240, US. The service is scheduled for February 4, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
