She was a long time Legal Assistant at Couzens, Lansky, Ellis, Roeder and Lazar PC as well as being a former teacher. Although she found great joy in working outside of the home her greatest joy was raising her family.
Maureen is survived by her loving sons Brett and Craig (Judy) Lapanowski and cherished grandchildren Kristy and Steven Lapanowski. She is preceded in death by her young son Todd and siblings Marilyn McMahon and Douglas MacDonald.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday August 26, 2014 from 3-8 pm at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Rd. (east of Newburgh and I-275) in Livonia. Her life will be celebrated with a funeral service on Wednesday August 27, 2014 at 11 am at the funeral home.
Maureen will be laid to rest at her family plot at Grand Lawn Cemetery in Detroit.
