Maureen Ann Mahoney

Maureen Ann Mahoney, died peacefully at Angela Hospice in Livonia, Michigan, on February 19, 2025, at the age of 62. Born on February 24, 1962, in Livonia, Maureen was a beloved mother, grandmother, partner, and friend.

Maureen is survived by her daughter, Ashley (Jeff Jones) Wampler, and her children, Mackenzie, Kennedy, and Raegan; her daughter Brittany (Brad) Page, and her children, Beckett and Brody. She was also the loving and devoted significant other of Pat Schaar for 15 years. Maureen and Pat met in high school and later reconnected, sharing a love that lasted a lifetime.

Maureen leaves behind a large circle of loving cousins, extended family, and many close friends who will miss her deeply.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Mahoney and Josephine (Enright) Mahoney-Sipple, as well as her step-father, Gari Sipple, who were the cornerstones of her upbringing and whose love and guidance shaped the person she became.

Maureen worked for many years as a secretary for Livonia Public Schools, where she was a valued member of the team. She took great pride in her work and enjoyed being part of the school community, especially interacting with the students. Maureen’s warm and caring nature made her an integral part of the school, and she was well-loved by both staff and students alike.

In her free time, Maureen enjoyed going on shopping trips, reading good books, and socializing with her close-knit group of friends. She had a natural gift for making others feel welcome and loved, always enjoying the company of those around her. Above all, Maureen treasured the time spent with her grandchildren, whose laughter and presence filled her heart with joy. She was a doting grandmother and an exceptional mother who gave her daughters unconditional love, support, and guidance.

Maureen will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, her kind heart, and her deep love for her family. A life well-lived, she will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A Memorial Service will take place at 11:00 am on Monday, March 17, 2025, at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152. Maureen’s family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Sunday, March 16, 2025, from 1:00 pm until 7:00 pm, with a rosary service at 6:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Angela Hospice, who provided Maureen with compassionate care during her final days.
