Melvin Henry Verardi, age 81, of Redford, MI, died Thursday, April 27, 2017 at his home in Clare, MI. Melvin died peacefully after a long struggle with Parkinson's, Cancer and heart disease. He was born Nov. 21, 1935 in Detroit, MI. Melvin was preceded in death by his son Robert Verardi and survived by his wife Maureen(Mary) of 60 years, his daughters Cheryl (Fred) Burford, Linda (Vern Schipper) Verardi and Michelle Devroy; granddaughter Erin, grandsons Ryan, Kyle and Joe; great-grandchildren Kaya and Ryder. Mel is known for his hard work, desire to help anyone in need and his great sense of humor.
Visitation Monday, May 1 from 4-8pm at Harry J. Will Funeral Home 37000 Six Mile Road in Livonia. Funeral Mass Tuesday, May 2 at 11am (in state at 10am) at St. Edith Catholic Church 15089 Newburgh Road in Livonia.
