Michael Patrick Mack

Michael Patrick Mack was born on June 13, 1962 in Detroit, Michigan. He was one of four children born to Patrick (d. 2021) and Yvonne Mack. Michael passed away peacefully on July 26, 2026, at the age of 64.

Michael was the beloved brother of Susan (John) Clasgens, Daniel Mack, and Kathy (Tim) Fackler). Loving Uncle of Rachel (Adam) Barnes, Patrick (Jennifer) Clasgens, Melissa Mack, Mitch (Elana) Fackler, and Kaia Fackler. Dear great-uncle of Kain Barnes, Cooper Clasgens, Lilith Barnes, Connor Clasgens, Carson Clasgens and Jacob Fackler.

Music was one of his greatest joys. Mike was a lifelong fan of rock & roll with an affinity for the band Rush. Whether discussing albums, lyrics, or unforgettable concerts, his enthusiasm was unmatched.

A devoted Detroit Red Wings fan, Mike rarely missed the chance to cheer on his favorite team. His love of sports extended well beyond hockey. He possessed an astonishing memory for sports history and statistics, able to recall players, seasons, and records dating back to the 1950s.

His incredible memory was one of his defining gifts. He would have been a great contestant on Jeopardy, as his knowledge of historical facts was unending. He also remembered family stories that others had long forgotten, knew everyone's names, never forgot a birthday or milestone, and could effortlessly recall generations of family history. He treasured those connections and made each person feel remembered and valued.

Even in death, Mike found a way to help others. As a tissue donor through Gift of Life Michigan, he gave the gift of healing and hope to others, leaving behind a legacy of generosity that reflects the compassion with which he lived his life.

Though his voice is now silent, his stories, laughter, love of music and sports, and the countless memories he preserved will remain with us always. He will also live on through the many lives he is saving by his generous tissue donation.
