She was the beloved sister of Martin (Linda) Herak, loving aunt of Marianne (Charles) Hamill and Martin Herak Jr., and proud great-aunt of Peter Hamill and Nathan Herak. She was preceded in death by her parents, Milan and Bernice Herak, and her brother, Charles Herak, who now welcome her home with open arms.
Nancy earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Eastern Michigan University and retired from the State of Michigan in 2002. She had a joyful spirit and a love for life that shone through her favorite pastimes—square dancing and traveling to new places.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Nancy’s life on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at St. Colette Catholic Church, 17600 Newburgh Rd, Livonia, Michigan 48152. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m., with a Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m.
