Born in Detroit, Michigan, in 1945, Patricia was the daughter of the late Edward and Helen Lenihan. She was raised on the west side of Detroit and graduated from Thomas M. Cooley High School. In 1966, she married the love of her life, the late Robert Dennis.
After raising her children, Patricia worked for the Redford Union School District as a paraprofessional, where she found her true passion for helping students with special needs. Her compassion and patience for others made this work especially meaningful to her.
Patricia’s greatest legacy will be the love she gave so freely and the warmth she brought into the lives of those around her. She found beauty in life’s simple pleasures. Whether gathered around the table, spending time with family, or simply enjoying the moments life brought her way, she had a special way of making ordinary moments meaningful. The memories she created with those she loved will be treasured for generations.
Over the past few years, Patricia faced health challenges with remarkable courage and determination. She met each obstacle with resilience and an unwavering will to keep going. Her strength and perseverance were an inspiration to everyone who knew and loved her.
Patricia is survived by her son, Michael (Heather) Dennis of Redford, Michigan; and her daughters, Kelly (Kevin) Reed and Karyn (Jeff) Stacho, both of Livonia, Michigan.
She was the beloved “Mema” to ten grandchildren: Colin (Abby) Andridge and Evan Andridge; Katherine (Dylan Randall) Dennis; Lara (Will) Rhoden; Connor and Owen Reed; Emma Smith; and Brady, Aubrey, and Delaney Stacho. She was also a proud great-grandmother to three great-grandchildren, James, Grayson, and Roman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Dennis; her parents, Edward and Helen Lenihan; her in-laws, Raymond and Mary Jane Dennis; and her sister, Aileen Borganson.
A gathering to celebrate her life will take place on Sunday, October 18, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan, with Rosary taking place at 7:00 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 19, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Loretto Catholic Church, 25700 Six Mile Road, Redford, Michigan. Family will receive visitors at the church beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
Immediately following the Funeral Mass, family and friends are invited to a luncheon to celebrate Patricia’s beautiful life and share the many wonderful memories she leaves behind.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Patricia’s memory are asked to consider contributing to Angela Hospice in Livonia, Michigan, in gratitude for the compassionate care they provide.
