Patricia Ann Kanaan

Patricia Ann Kanaan, age 96, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2025. Born on September 7, 1928, in Detroit, Michigan, to her loving parents, John and Anna Langan, Patricia lived a life filled with love, faith, and family.

She was the beloved wife of the late Lee Kanaan, the love and center of her life. Patricia and Lee shared 51 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a family that was the heart of Patricia’s world. She was a devoted mother to David (Peggy), Daniel (Andrea), the late Leigh (John) Lund, Lynn (Timothy) Brimer, and Mitchell. Her legacy lives on in her cherished children and her 15 adoring grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly. Patricia was the dearest sister to Mary Beck.

Patricia’s two greatest joys, after her husband and children, were reading and her collection of books. Even into her final years, she would read roughly 90 books every year, and an often-heard phrase of hers was, “Reading is life. To not read, would be a boring life.”

A visitation to honor Patricia’s life will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025, at 10:00 AM, followed by a service at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Orthodox Basilica, 18200 Merriman Rd, Livonia, MI 48152.
