I have a lifetime of memories of Phil and each one centers around his love for his family, especially Dena. I remember late dinners when he was done working, grilling in the backyard, his orange Corvette in the driveway, his love of car racing and boxing matches. I remember walking to his house to drop off food for him and let Ana the Doberman outside while he was at work. I remember lectures about being good girls and why weren’t we eating enough. We were always too skinny. And most of all, I hold dear how he and Dena lit up when they were together. ❤️❤️

Philip was always very kind, caring and supportive to my family and I. There were so many more rounds of golf to be played...My condolences to all of the family. Philip, you will be missed.

I would always go to my grandparents house every Sunday when I was a kid (Dominic and Lena Soave) Phil, I would call him uncle Phil, even though he was my cousin. He would come over every Sunday and play cards with my grandpa, my dad , and my uncle Tony , and my uncle Benny. He always has a cigar in his mouth. Lol
He was a good man and will be missed.

Phillip, rest in peace. You will be missed by your cousin Nannina's family, you can't immagin how much! We will preserve all the memories of the days passed together in Detroit but first of all in Italy, in our house where you loved stay and spend time with us. I can see you now around the table with Antonio playing cards with a good bottle of wine looking at me and calling me with your tipical sense of humor :'hey.. Contadina?!?.. What have you cooked today???...'..... Good days, special memories. You loved me, my family, Claudia and Francesco. You have been a good godfather for him, even the distance... We hope you can see him from the heaven while he is working your land here as you always asked to him, proud of your origin. Good voyage dear Phillip. (NANNINA family)

Phil, you will be missed by so many from the rolling hills in Italy, your cousins and friends in Scotland to your many friends and family in MI. I have been so lucky to have spent fun times with you in Italy, Scotland and Livonia drinking wine, playing golf, bowling and playing cards. One of my fondest memories is of playing cards late into the night at Zio Benedetto’s drinking wine and beer. You will be sorely missed.
