Phyllis Jean James, of Brownstown, Michigan passed away on April 16, 2018. Phyllis was born July 29, 1932 in Mishawaka, Indiana to James and Helen Kapy.

Phyllis is survived by; son Mark Hayes; son David Hayes; and daughter Kathleen Christian.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her spouse William James.

A visitation for Phyllis will be held Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Harry J Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Rd, Livonia, Michigan, followed by a funeral service at 7:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Phyllis' memory may be made to Southwest Indian Foundation, PO Box 86, Gallup, New Mexico 87302.
