She was the beloved widow of the late Angelo D’Orazio. Pierina is survived by her loving children, Paul D’Orazio and Linda DeLuca (Reginaldo); her cherished grandchildren, Marina DeLuca, Marco DeLuca (Alana), Angelo D’Orazio, Gino D’Orazio (Marissa), and Nicolas D’Orazio; and her adored great-grandchildren, Siena DeLuca and Lorenzo D’Orazio. She is also survived by her sister Maria Colone (Luigi) of Italy, as well as many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
Born in Roccavivi, Italy, in 1939, she was the beloved older sister of Maria. In 1961, she married the love of her life, Angelo, and together they moved to America to begin a new chapter filled with hope, hard work, and family. Through this journey, she gained not only a new home but a growing family, including her father-in-law Paolo and his children Anna, Tony, and Mario—relationships that she cherished deeply.
A lifelong seamstress, she was a true master of her trade, creating beauty with skill and care throughout her life. Her strong work ethic extended beyond her profession—she worked tirelessly both inside and outside the home. She loved painting anything she could get her hands on, leaving her personal touch wherever she went. She devoted herself to raising her two children, Paul and Linda, while joyfully embracing her expanding family. After years of working hard to fulfill the American dream, Pierina was able to travel the world with her family and friends.
Her greatest pride was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she loved deeply and welcomed with the same warmth and generosity that defined her life. Her home was a gathering place filled with laughter, fun, and mounds of food, open to all. She will be remembered for her generosity, creativity, strength, and the deep love she shared with family and friends.
