

Michigan. Born in Ramallah, Palestine on August 22, 1947, and the son to Atallah E. Taweel and Nabiha
A. Taweel. Ramzy was a college graduate from Wayne State University starting his career as an English
teacher in Detroit. While later in life being a self-employed entrepreneur involved with real estate
ownership and management. He is survived by his adoring wife Josephine Taweel of 51 years, son
Michael, wife Nadia, family dog Leo, and many extended family and friends.
Ramzy was a humanist and always saw the good in everything. He dedicated his existence to his wife
Josephine, his two children, Kristopher, and Michael, including friends and family. He had a passion for
golf, reading, traveling, and music. His understanding, compassion, intelligence, and sense-of-humor
were one-of-a-kind. His persistence for life was relentless, extraordinary, and contagious. His character
was unmatched, envious, and bold. His strength was bullish and unparalleled. His love was
unconditional, kind, and true. He had the amazing ability to be fierce, funny, and soft simultaneously.
He was a championship fighter in the bout of life and fought until the last second.
Services will be held at Harry J. Will Funeral Home at 37000 Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan with
visitations Monday, January 2, 2023, from 12:00 to 3:00. The funeral will be Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at
10:00 followed by burial at Glen Eden Memorial Park on Eight Mile Road in Livonia.
