Renee R. Geisinger – April 25, 2022, age 38, of Northville. Passed away peacefully after heroically battling complications from a car accident. In death, she gave the gift of life through organ donation.
Renee was born in Detroit, Michigan, to Bob and Rose Geisinger on March 2, 1984. Renee grew up in Livonia and had one brother, Bobby, who she adored. Renee was a figure skater, gymnast, and soccer player. She attended Livonia Franklin High School, and after went to Eastern Michigan University, where she earned her degree in Music Therapy. Renee was a proud member of Mu Phi Epsilon, a co-ed international professional music fraternity.
Renee loved working with children, especially those with special needs. When she wasn’t doing music therapy, she spent time as a Music Guru at LIFETIME Fitness and a paraprofessional at a local school. For the past few years, she worked for her brother at JB Tools. Renee was very active in the Livonia Jaycees and spent time volunteering with Kensington Church in Clarkston, where she lived for 5 years. She loved music. Whether it was playing the violin or guitar, or attending concerts, music resonated deeply in her soul. She enjoyed traveling, with highlights including a trip to Europe and the Dominican Republic. Her favorite destinations were Naples, Florida, as well as Disney World for an annual birthday trip with her cousin Julie. Renee was focused on health and wellness, never missed a workout, and participated in 5K runs for various causes. She may have been short in stature, but she was strong and could deadlift 105 pounds! She was a proud dog mom to her corgi Elton, who she adored, and you could often find them together at the local dog park.
Renee was strong and overcame two brain surgeries in 2013 and 2016 for pituitary gland tumors caused by Cushing’s Disease. After, she became an advocate, helping others get a diagnosis and telling her story to increase awareness.
She is survived by her loving parents Bob and Rose, dearest brother Bobby (Katie Bonner), and beloved fur baby Elton. Cherished granddaughter to Phyllis Nabozny. Treasured niece to Edwin (Pat) Geisinger Jr., Patricia Capozzoli, Janice Kaminski (David), Laura Geisinger, Sharon Gorman, Gregory (Linda) Geisinger, Gerald (Rachelle) Geisinger, John Geisinger, Jeffrey (Juliann) Geisinger, Jeffrey (Tamara) Nabozny, Jodi (Chris) Zebari, Scott (Michelle) Nabozny, Shawn (Lisa) Nabozny and Beth Nabozny. Renee had the purest heart and made friends with everyone, everywhere she went. To have known Renee is to have loved her. She was the most kind and caring soul and will be forever missed by those she leaves behind. Until we meet again sweet Angel.
The family would like to thank the health care heroes – the nurses and doctors at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland – for so tenderly caring for our “tiny dancer”.
