Richard was born on June 22, 1938. Richard attended Michigan State University where he accomplished his Master's Degree in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling. He served in the United States Air Force for 4 years. He married Judith on August 16,1986 at Salem Lutheran Church in Westland, MI. He is survived by his wife Judith; 4 children, Norman Wesley (Anne), Eric (Karen), Marc, and Lee; 3 grandchildren Matthew, Kelsey, and Hayley; and one sister Carmen.
Richard was a member of the American Legion in Michigan. He loved to go biking with his wife Judith. They participated in the Belle Isle Wolverine 200 Bike Race. He enjoyed golfing in his younger years. He also loved traveling, Richard and his wife went on numerous cruises.
