Today is the last day we can post pictures.  So I saved one of the best for last.  I love this picture of you Bob. It was Christmas a few years ago. We miss you so much and God knows how we will be missing you as the holdiays roll in. You will be forever in our hearts.  We love you to Heaven and back.

Well, Uncle Bob Haas...I'm late, as usual!  This entry has proven to be very difficult for me to write. You were always an uncle to me, not a friend of the family, not the Staneks plus one...just one of my uncles.  I don't even think I realized your first name wasn't BobHaas, until I was in my teens.  I'm not sure if I coined that loving title or if it was someone else, but I do remember laughing with you, on several occasions, about how special and funny the title was.  You lived up to that title, and I thank you for it. 
I remember introducing you to my husband, Ken...way back in 1998...and, you were so welcoming. He really enjoyed your easy nature, and the way you were kind to all around you.  Ken just shared with me that you and he spoke a lot about cars, Detroit, games, and family.  Then it hit me again...family!  How do I write this and somehow convey how special you were to me...to all of us?
I remember the first time you met my son, Jon Michael.  You looked at him, said his name, and gave your easy going laugh that told me you already loved him.  You spoke about the connection between his name and my father, and made a comment about how my father would be so proud of me.  That was just one special moment, just between us, a quiet moment that has stuck with me, and will forever.  Just that simple.  I thought it was too cute when Jon Michael just started speaking and he would say, "Uckle Boss."  He can now say, "Uncle Bob Haas" and he will continue to say it, because you will always be a part of our lives.  
So, I guess, in a nutshell, that's what I want to say.  Of course it is me, the loquacious one, so that nutshell is very, very large.

Bob, you were there for every event in my life and every time I needed a hand; never complaining, always grateful just to be included like family.  Then my kids were born and you treated them like gold as well. There will always be an empty chair at my table and a heaviness in my heart. You will be missed.

"THE BOYS" will never be the same without you my dear "brother".  Who will be "the objective one"  in the Stanek madhouse?  Too many memories to mention.....so many memories to hold on to.  Thank you my dearest friend for being in our lives. Oh how we love and  miss you.

The Macelli Family...We had some great times...great memories...you bolted too soon...we were just getting our second wind and you burned rubber and left us in the dust. We love you Bob and you left a big void.  Nobody...nobody will ever take your place.  You were a beautiful man inside and out.  Sensitive but daring...God fearing but rebellious...and my friend, your Heart was made of pure gold. Soar with those Eagles and come visit us when you can...in any way shape or form. Although he is physically gone his spirit will live on.  Bob was like the brother I never had and I will miss the times we spent together.
