Robert E. Biel

Bob was born on October 11, 1934, to John and Antoinette Bielaczyk in Detroit, Michigan. He graduated from Mackenzie High School and, shortly after graduation, proudly enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, serving honorably from 1956 until 1958.

Bob was the beloved husband of Denise for 64 wonderful years. Loving father of Carol (Joe) Terns, Jim (Nancy) Biel, and Beth (Todd) Martin. Cherished grandfather of Matt (Steph) Terns, Bob (Marisa) Terns, Nick Terns, Laura (Joe) Swan, Katie (Evan) Slawski, Jennifer (Alex Peters) Biel, Keri (Nate Holland) Martin, and Ryan Martin. Proud great-grandfather of Jack, Noah, Harper, Claire, Finley, Lucas, and Logan. Dear uncle of Tim Biel Sr. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Gene Biel.

Bob was the proud owner of Floyd Window Cleaning Co., where he worked for many years before retiring. He took pride in his work and enjoyed the relationships he built throughout his career.

A longtime parishioner of St. Colette Catholic Church in Livonia, Bob's faith was an important part of his life. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family, especially at family gatherings and celebrations.

Bob will be remembered for his hardworking nature, quiet strength, and devotion to his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday July 20, 2026 at 10:00 a.m, with in-state beginning at 9:30 a.m., at St. Colette Catholic Church with Military Honors. Bob will be laid to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
