Robert Caldwell Farris

Robert served proudly in the US Navy during WWII. After serving he attended the University of Kentucky where he majored in business . After college he moved to Detroit to work for Ford Motor Company where he met his wife Dorothy , with whom he was united in marriage for over 50 years. After Ford Robert then went on to work as a sales manager for Nationwide Insurance.

Robert was a very active member of Ward Church, Masonic Lodge 151 F & AM, and the Livonia Post of the American Legion.

In his free time Robert enjoyed playing cards, traveling, boating, and being near the water, from his time in the Navy.

Robert was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy J., the loving father of Robert J. (Diane) and Richard D., dear grandfather of Lauren, Shannon and Brad.

Robert's family will receive friends on Wednesday May 16th from 2-9 pm at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Rd (east of I-275 and Newburgh) in Livonia.

He will lie in state on Thursday May 17th from 9 am until the time of his funeral service at 10 am at Ward Church. 40000 Six Mile Rd. in Northville.

He will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife at Glen Eden Memorial Park in Livonia.
