Rob and his wife Stephanie were our neighbors in Livonia for many years. Rob was always willing and eager to lend a hand with anything we needed help with -- hauling something heavy or watering the landscaping while we were on vacation. But more than that, he was a great friend. When we met Rob & Stephanie, we both drank Miller Lite exclusively, and we feel very fortunate that Rob was willing to be seen in public with us despite this embarrassing fact. But over time, despite our stubbornness, he opened up our lives to the big, wide, wonderful world of craft beer, and we're eternally grateful for that! We have so many wonderful memories, but our favorite will always be taking the 2-minute walk to his backyard on a warm, summer Saturday evening to drink beer, listen to 80s tunes, and hang/chill. God bless you, dear friend!

Rob was my nephew the son of my late husbands sister Ruth and her husband Terry. Rob was a beautiful baby born with lots of long platinum blond hair and arrived in this world a big baby boy.. Robs middle name was "Ronald" named after his uncle Ron my late husband.
Gone too soon and will be forever missed. Rest in peace Rob..

Rob was my third born son. He was always a good son, making his parents proud. Growing up he enjoyed playing hockey, he started at age 6 pushing a chair to learn to skate. As a teen he enjoyed playing travel hockey, a family weekend sport where we traveled to many cities and to Canada. As a adult, we enjoyed weekly phone calls discussing every thing from politics to his current chemo treatments, and of course Red Wings hockey. He loved Stephanie, they enjoyed life together. He will be missed. Dad

Rob was my last remaining brother. It feels strange to have lost both of my younger brothers. I have many memories of Rob. I am 8.5 years older than Rob. His blond hair and glasses as a small child. He was always easy going and I think we shared much of the same sense of humor and values. I got to go to lots of hockey games watching Rob learn to play and develop a strong passion for hockey.

He even developed a stronger passion for his craft beer and he was my personal consultant on what I should drink. (I am now lost!) Rob missed a good time at his wake. I am glad that was something I could help make happen.

Rob loved his pets and was constantly rough-housing with them. But in the end, Rob's real love was for his wife Stephanie.

Rob demonstrated courage and strength while fighting the Cancer. He is no longer in pain and is now at peace.

I miss you little brother!

So sorry to hear about Rob. I wish I could have met up with him and enjoy a beer with him before he passed. Rob and I grew up together in Kentwood until his family moved away. I'd ride my bike down to his house on Surrey Pl., collect pop cans, get into trouble and make our way to Boy Scouts. Some of the things we did as kids, are great memories today. We laughed about some of those times a few years ago when we re-connected on FB. My thoughts and prayers go out you , Stephanie, though we never met. Peace Robbie.

Rob was the best son-in-law ever. He was so easy-going. In family debates, he would often say, I'm Switzerland. We shared many good times. Our trip to Ireland and our times in Traverse City will be cherished always. We were blessed to have him as a member of our family. Rob, you will be missed.

Rob was a great friend to all of us. We started as neighbors but our friendship lasted well after we moved from next door. We enjoyed many holidays and much fun together over the years. Julia has many fond memories of Rob as she grew from a toddler to a teenager. From playing games of Clue, attending Julias dance recitals, exploring the beer festivals, to building sand castles on the shores of Lake Michigan as guests in Traverse City, we all enjoyed the time we spent with Rob in various ways.

While Rob suffered greatly fighting cancer, we never heard him once complain. He was truly an inspiration in his fight. We lost a wonderful man and friend. Rob will be greatly missed and we feel privileged to have called him friend.

Love and prayers to Stephanie, his family and friends Jim, Kim and Julia

I am very saddened to hear of Rob's passing. He was a good friend for over 30 years. I'll never forget some of the great times we shared. Rob was a lovely, easy going guy who was always supportive of his friends. He had much courage, grace, and humour while fighting his battle these last few years. My deepest condolences to Stephanie and his family.
