Rocky is survived by his beloved daughter Lois (Gene) Pyatenko; dear grandchildren Ashley (Chris) Lambrix and Ryan Pyatenko, and sweetest great grandchildren Hunter James Lambrix and Wesley Stone Lambrix.
Rocky was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Gertrude "Trudy" Stone, as well as his sweet infant son Robert Arthur Stone, and sisters Irene Nieman and Edna Nowicke.
Rocky was a proud veteran who served his country in the United States Army and was decorated with the following medals and accolades: Victory Medal, Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon, Philippine Liberation Medal with one Bronze Battle Star and three Overseas Service Bars, and a Good Conduct Medal. Rocky was also a proud husband and father, marrying his sweetheart Trudy in May of 1951 and celebrating 65 years of happy marriage with her. He was a kind man with a gentle heart, and will be missed by all lucky enough to have known him.
A visitation in celebration of Rocky's life will be held Friday, March 22nd from 4-8pm at Harry J Will Funeral Home, 37000 Six Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan 48152. Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 23rd, in state at 9:30am, with a service at 10am and military honors to follow.
