Roger was born on April 23, 1965, the only son of the late Roger I. and Donna M. (Knuckles) Wobig. He is survived by his loving wife Laura, his daughter Brittany Wobig (Fiancé Jacob Fleming), son Aidan Elliott (Brittany Elliott), grandson Seth, stepmother Susan Wobig, and many cousins.
Roger graduated in 1983 from Churchill High School. Following high school, he attended Schoolcraft College and received his associates degree of Arts and Science in Biomedical Technology. He then started working as a Biomedical Technician at Macomb and Crittenton hospitals. He later continued his education to achieve his bachelors in Biomedical Engineering at Eastern Michigan University, graduating Suma Cum Laude, and began working at the University of Michigan Hospital until the present.
During his spare time Roger enjoyed making people laugh and putting a smile on their face. He enjoyed cruising on his motorcycle, karate, aikido, judo, working out, deer hunting/guns and playing with his dogs Ruby and Honey.
Most importantly Roger cherished his beloved family. He was always there when called upon for help or advice, he was kind, respectful, helpful, and welcoming to everyone he met. Roger was such a shining soul, he left an impression on so many individuals just by being himself. Roger will be missed immensely by his family and many, many friends.
Funeral services will be held at Rosedale Gardens Presbyterian Church Saturday, October 16th. Visitation from 9:30 am to 11:00 am, service beginning at 11:00 am, and luncheon to follow.
