

Salah married Siham George in 1958. He graduated from Wayne State University School of Pharmacy and had a long career as a pharmacist. Salah was co-founder, Manager and Arabic Editor of the Hathihe Ramallah magazine. He was an active member of the American Federation of Ramallah, Palestine and the Ramallah Club of Detroit, including a term as President of the Ramallah Club of Detroit. He was an active member of his church, the Basilica of St. Mary’s Antiochian Orthodox Church in Livonia. He served on the Parish Council including 2 terms as Parish Council President. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents Esa and Bahia Salah, sisters Leila (the late Jalil) Salah, Farha (the late Essa) Mogannam, Abla Sackleh, and son-in-law Ghassan Hanania.
He was survived by his wife Siham Salah, children Edward (Michelle) Salah, Dr. Raymond (Marie) Salah, Michele (the late Ghassan) Hanania, 7 grandchildren Megan (Michael) Norcia, Joseph Salah, Helena Salah, Steven Salah, Alexandra Hanania, Andrew Hanania, Jacob Hanania, great-grandson Angelo Norcia, siblings Suad (the late Jamil) Hassan, Salwa (the late Anis) George, Ibtisam (the late Isa) Hasan, Khawlah Salah, Isam (Nadia) Salah, and Hussam Salah.
A visitation for Salah will be held Friday, February 4, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Basilica of St Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church, 18100 Merriman Rd, Livonia, Michigan 48152 with a trisagion at 7:30 PM. A funeral in state will occur Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 10:00 AM, 18100 Merriman Rd, Livonia, Michigan 48152 with a funeral service at 11:00 AM.
