I think about you each and every day.  You were such a wonderful and generous person.   My memories of knowing you will always be precious.  I wish you were still here, but I know you are in a better place.

Growing up on Lawndale I knew Sharon as Hope and Guy’s sister. I got to know her personally when my children attended St. Matthew Lutheran School. We shared many conversations and laughter together through the years. My husband and I offer heart felt condolences to her siblings, husband , children and grandchildren. A good and faithful servant of the Lord now rejoicing in heaven.

Difficult to believe it's been a year since Sharon's passing. Hope God has provided comfort to you George, Heather, Cheryl and Amy - and the entire family.   I enjoyed working with Sharon for a good part of nearly 25 years.  She remains missed. God bless you!

So many memories!  Lifelong friends!  I am blessed to have had her in my life.  God must have wanted another angel.  He got the best in her.


We are all mourning the passing of Sharon Rakich, who left us much too soon.  She was highly regarded by everyone whose lives she touched, whether they were family, friends, fellow workers or church members.  Her friendship and sincerity were genuine in every respect.  Let us always Cherish the Memories we have of her because, just like Sharon, they were Beautiful in every way.


I worked with Sharon at DFCU and she was always so helpful. I could hear her smile through the phone and even though we worked in different departments, she was always wonderful to me. My condolences to the family and I hope you are comforted during this time with your memories and love. 

I truly enjoyed working with Sahron for 17 years. She was always a source of happiness, always patient and full of kind words. My condolences to her family. 

I enjoyed every minute working at DFCU with Sharon.  She was our Wire Queen and very proud of it.  My sympathy to all of her family.

Sharon was the self-proclaimed and undisputed 'Queen of the Wire Room' at DFCU.  She ran a tight ship and regularly held court, generously dispensing humor, advice, insight, wit and her scintillating smile.  She was kind, candid and a fabulously creative problem-solver.  Her joie de vivre was irrepressible and contagious.  I enjoyed every moment I spent with her.  I am very sad that she is gone, and I hope that all who knew her can take some small solace from the idea that Sharon's seemed a life really well lived.  My sincerest condolences go out to George, her girls, her grandchildren and all her friends.  She will be forever warmly remembered.

I'm so lucky to have counted Sharon as a friend and confidant for the short amount of time that we shared together. She has touched my life in innumerable ways. I (half-jokingly) asked Sharon to be my flower girl in my 2021 wedding and with an unforgettable and hearty laugh, she accepted- dubbing herself my "pretty in pink flower girl."

I will carry her zest for life and that laugh with me wherever I go. 

So many lifetime memories of my beautiful friend.  I cannot believe God has called her.  Much too soon!  She was such a good friend and a good person.  I can still hear her husky laugh.  We laughed a lot!
I am so grateful for the years we shared growing up together and our continuing friendship through over 65 years.  Heaven has another angel!

The short time Sharon was with us at Mt. Hope were great. She had a personality that when we first met her, were captured. As part of our Bible Study she kept us on our toes and was always a part of the  the group. Once we met her she became a true friend and she will always be a part of us. She will be missed by us,  as we know everyone who knew her,  will miss her also.

I worked with Sharon at DFCU and even after retiring we remained friends. Sharon, myself and two other ladies had birthdays within a couple of months of each other and were all born in 1947. We formed our little birthday club, and called ourselves the 47 Club. Our annual birthday dinners eventually became a monthly event that lasted many years. We shared stories as our children got married and our grandchildren started arriving. Each gathering started with proud grandma’s passing around pictures of our favorite little people. As recently as Thanksgiving we were making plans for a Spring dinner date. I will miss Sharon. Rest In Peace my friend.

I have fond memories of Sharon from the many years at St. Matthew.  Many of the memories involved our kitchen table for Ladies Aid board meetings with my mom and the other ladies of the congregation.  In more recent years our visits revolved around saying good bye to members of the church that the Lord welcomed in heaven but it was nice to catch up with her or reminisce about events of the past.  May the hearts of her family be comforted knowing she rests from her labors in the arms of her Savior.  Love to you all.  George, Linda and Abby Bryant

I worked with Sharon at DFCU, and words can't describe how sorry I am at this loss. You're all in my prayers.

I was greatly saddened to learn of Sharon's passing.  We hired in together at DFCU, and worked together for several years! She will be greatly missed! My condolences to her entire family.  May God comfort you during this mist difficult time.

Sharon was someone to look up to, and Sandra and I have always regarded her and her whole family highly. She was blessed to hold the Word of Truth firmly in her heart, so that Jesus would grant her eternal life. God's comfort rest upon those who miss her till we meet again in heaven.

When I got married, Sharon took quilt squares from both my grandmothers' and one great grandmother and made a quilt. The card was signed with all their names with Sharon' s help. After almost 30 years I still treasure that memory. Sharon had many other talents besides quilting and all were done with exceptional talent. She was a wonder woman and will be missed dearly.
