Shawky Jamil Mousa was born in Ramallah, Palestine on September 1, 1931 and died in Superior Township, Michigan on March 4, 2012. He is the loving husband of 60 years of Jannette and the beloved father of Noel (David) Bawulski, Patricia Mousa, Sharon (Joe) Keepers, Elizabeth (Thomas) Beter and Michelle (Ann) Mousa. He is the grandfather of Dylan, Erin, Shannon, Elise, Jameel, Joseph, Benjamin, Elliot, Lauren, Alexander, Tara, Aimee and Rocky and great grandfather of Olivia and Maxwell. Shawky is also survived by his sisters Viola Sackleh and Afaf (Fuad) Foteh.
Visitation Tuesday 6-8 pm until his Trisagion at 8 pm and Wednesday 9 am until his funeral service at 10 am at the Antiochian Basilica of St. Mary Orthodox Christian Church, 18100 Merriman, Livonia, Michigan 48152. The church is located on the east side of Merriman, just north of W. Six Mile Road.
Memorials may be made to the Church Building Fund in his honor.
